I have many stories but the most recent and most defining was pretty much all of 2018. February started off with me losing two friends to cancer. With cancer, they could have gone anytime, sure, but what took it to the next level was when I found out one of my best friends decided to end his own life.
I was beside myself with the amount of loss in such a short amount of time. I say that as in early 2017 I lost my mother to cancer.
Yet, that's not even the end of the story...
On October 10th, I received a phone call from my grandmother. My uncle, her son-in-law just suffered a massive heart attack. I rushed to the hospital with just enough time to see him take his last breathe.
That was a shock, my uncle, 54 years of age, gone.
Yet, that's not even the end of the story...
On October 20th, with family in town from out of country, my father, step-mother, sister & older brother all meet up for a dinner to celebrate family in town and my brother's 40th birthday (30 days early).
A wonderful night had by all...
With a whole day of my brother's absence I became ever worried about his well-being. Monday morning came & I decided to do a life-check. I phoned my father when I found out he no-called no-showed to work that morning. "Meet me at Michel's!"
My brother had a heart defect no one knew about, not even himself. He arrived home that night and suffered a massive heart attack at the age of 39, literally 30 days from his 40th birthday.
There is no better time than NOW to be, do & have the life you desire. Stop waiting & start living!
